Wall repair — fixed, not just painted over
A crack that is simply filled comes back. Before repairing, we work out where the damage comes from: settlement, a material junction, moisture or physical impact. Only then do we choose the repair method.

How it works
1. Establish the cause
We look at the damage and judge whether it is dormant or still moving.
2. Quote
In writing, stating clearly whether only the spot or the whole surface is treated.
3. Prepare
Remove loose material, open the crack, cut clean edges, cover up.
4. Repair
Reinforce, fill, build up in layers and allow to dry.
5. Blend in
Sand, prime and paint so the repair doesn't stay visible.
How we work
- We say honestly when a repair is only cosmetic and the cause has to be dealt with first.
- With active moisture we don't repair until the surface is dry — otherwise the damage repeats.
- Repairs are checked in daylight before we release them.
- We deliberately take on small jobs; not every project needs to be a big site.
Frequently asked
- Will the crack come back?
- A dormant crack normally stays closed once properly reinforced. If the structure keeps moving it can return — we tell you beforehand if that is likely.
- Does the whole wall need repainting?
- Often yes. A repaired patch takes paint differently than the old coat, so we usually paint up to the next corner.
- Is it worth hiring a trade for a few holes?
- Rarely for a handful of plug holes. For a flat handover with many spots it is usually faster and cheaper to do everything in one go.
- Do you repair damp damage?
- We restore the surface once it is dry. The cause — a leak, for example — must be fixed first by whoever is responsible.

Plastering & skimming
You never notice a flat wall — you only notice one that isn't. Light raking in from a window or a wall lamp reveals every ripple. Plastering and skimming create the even surface that paint, wallpaper or decorative plaster need to look right.

A coat of paint only lasts as long as the surface beneath it. Every painting job starts with checking the wall: is the old paint sound, are there cracks, nicotine, water marks or old distemper? Only then do we decide on the paint system and the number of coats.

An interior renovation is several trades interlocking: repair first, then plaster, prime and paint — all in the right order, with the drying times each step needs. We take on that coordination so you don't have to mediate between several contractors.
